'A House In The Woods' Gets Some Press

This Just in! We are on cloud nine seeing the talented William Reue of William Reue Architecture get such praise on a project we had the privilege to work so intimately on with him. First landing him the 'High Honor Award' from the AIA of Westchester + Hudson Valley last Fall, we came to find also got some incredible media exposure last month.

Both abroad in Poland and here at home, A House In The Woods ... a spread in Polish Design Magizine KominekCabinets By Stanley worked very closely with Mr. Reue's team to create all the cabinetry and millwork detailing on this exemplary modern gem. The beauty of the project was in facilitating an air tight engineering and installation job, as modern design leaves even less than 0 room for error. The second best part of carrying this design out from inception to fruition was working on the kitchen- we bet you might not know where that is by looking at the pictures, and that's because it's an Invisible Kitchen! What looks like a bar for entertaining in the living space, adjacent to the dinning table is actually a panelized kitchen where all the amenities (pantry, dishwasher, refrigerator, cabinets) close flush with the surface of the wall. This brilliantly allowed the homeowner to be economical with space having all modern day comforts of home without losing the intimacy of the space nor expanding the building.

Meanwhile here in the US, the stellar Architectural Record picked out 'A House In The Woods' as their March 2014 'House of The Month'

Again, congratulations to William Reue on a fantastic architectural creation and thank you for letting Cabinets By Stanley be a part of it. We can't wait to see what's in store next!
