CBS In the Architectural Digest September Issue!

We are more than excited that not only is this the second one of our projects this year to get published in design powerhouse publication Architectural Digest, but our work made the coveted 'September Issue' as well!

Go ahead and click here to browse through the piece 'True To Form' covering the rebuilding of Issac Mizrahi's Greenwich Village apartment here in NYC. We loved collaborating with long time friends and clients at Silverlining Interiors and architect David Bers. You'll find lots of Cabinets By Stanley's signature, seamless custom cabinetry and millwork throughout! (We especially enjoyed doing the kitchen and seeing it come out with light, airy elegance- here's a peek at it as seen in Architectural Digest!)
Issac Mizrahi's new kitchen as seen in Architectural Digest, September 2014! Yes- that's our work!

LEVENBETTS' Chic New Project Gets Photographed

We are excited to see a recently completed, chic modern residence we worked on with the innovative architectural firm LEVENBETTS and stellar builder MG & Company was officially photographed by the firm to show the world this month.

LEVENBETTS notes they had the New York City project shot by photographer Michael Moran, and we're certain there will be some great press to follow (it's too remarkable to be left unnoticed by the shelter media). But before we wrapped up our work, before the full interior decoration and installation began, we nabbed a few shots of our own, as we were taken aback by the sheer beauty of the space. Here's a peek of what we last saw of the residence:

Part of what made the kitchen exceptionally beautiful was the unique use of bamboo- we used bleached bamboo with custom clad Stainless Steel surfaces. This unique surface also nicely complimented the transition into the adjacent sitting room and library where the cabinetry is made of an ash plywood with a custom white wash stain. The material and color choices of the millwork were neutral enough to make the cabinetry part of the background working as part of the structure, and also part of the decoration (much of which we look forward to seeing when they install and the client moves in).

We especially look forward to seeing how they utilize the floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall cabinetry in the library/ study gets filled.

Overall, this was an incredible project to work on, and we cannot wait to work with the LEVENBETTS - MG & Company duo again to create more high-quality residences all over town.

'A House In The Woods' Gets Some Press

This Just in! We are on cloud nine seeing the talented William Reue of William Reue Architecture get such praise on a project we had the privilege to work so intimately on with him. First landing him the 'High Honor Award' from the AIA of Westchester + Hudson Valley last Fall, we came to find also got some incredible media exposure last month.

Both abroad in Poland and here at home, A House In The Woods ... a spread in Polish Design Magizine KominekCabinets By Stanley worked very closely with Mr. Reue's team to create all the cabinetry and millwork detailing on this exemplary modern gem. The beauty of the project was in facilitating an air tight engineering and installation job, as modern design leaves even less than 0 room for error. The second best part of carrying this design out from inception to fruition was working on the kitchen- we bet you might not know where that is by looking at the pictures, and that's because it's an Invisible Kitchen! What looks like a bar for entertaining in the living space, adjacent to the dinning table is actually a panelized kitchen where all the amenities (pantry, dishwasher, refrigerator, cabinets) close flush with the surface of the wall. This brilliantly allowed the homeowner to be economical with space having all modern day comforts of home without losing the intimacy of the space nor expanding the building.

Meanwhile here in the US, the stellar Architectural Record picked out 'A House In The Woods' as their March 2014 'House of The Month'

Again, congratulations to William Reue on a fantastic architectural creation and thank you for letting Cabinets By Stanley be a part of it. We can't wait to see what's in store next!
